Content creators all over the world post their content and get nothing in return. Glimpse saw a massive opportunity to flip the revenue model of #Web2 social media platforms, which treat users as the product - by allowing users to directly monetize their content through #NFTs. Replacement of a web2 application where people monetize their content by selling their art.

The main challenge Glimpse had was integrating the blockchain technology because it’s a relatively new and decentralized technology. Blockchains are a way to store data without having to trust any one company or entity to keep things secure and accurate

Our team started the whole platform from scratch and developed in:

1- Frontend (React.JS)

2- Backend (Node.JS, Express.JS, Socket.IO)

3- Infrastructure (Docker & AWS Elastic Beanstalk)

4- Blockchain Integration (Solidity, Ethers & IPFS)

Since the platform was created by us, every feature and module are also attributed to our team.

Some of the most interesting features are:

• Create NTF - Users can create NFTs by providing a title, description, category, image / video, price and a royalty fee (0 - 5%)
• Marketplace - Divided into categories (football, basketball, movie characters, public figures) all the things an artist can create. POV of their life. Filter NFTs by price, recently created
• Chat - Users can chat with their friends
• Collections - Collections of NFTs & statistics for each of them
• Wallet - Deposit & Send GLMS between different wallet addresses & History of transactions
• Groups / Communities - Users can create groups / communities and connect their groups with NFT Collections. Participants can interact with other members part of the community.
• Points - Users get points when they interact with the platform and these points will be used to get rewards like (virtual events, free NFTs, GLMS)
• Others - Features like albums, photos, like NFTs, comments and replies on posts, watchlists, offers for NFTs, notifications, discover friends, topics
